J27 Stool

This stool epitomises Borge Mogensen’s furniture design when he was head of the FDB Mobler design studio in the 1940s. A restrained and simple design that does not cry out for attention, but which fulfils the original role of the stool – a piece of practical yet well-designed furniture with general appeal. FDB Mobler is now relaunching the stool, called J27, as an extremely versatile piece of furniture with multiple functions – for use at the dining table, for sitting on during an informal conversation or when doing homework in the living room. In line with Borge Mogensen’s uncompromising quality standards, the stool is manufactured from Nordic materials such as solid oak or solid beech, ensuring that it will last a long time while slowly acquiring a natural patina.
